Zelensky made an address to Ukrainians.

Today, February 24, marks exactly four years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops - an event that forever changed the course of modern history of the country.

Despite the aggressor's ambitions to "take Kiev in three days", the Ukrainian people have stood firm and continue to fight for their freedom and independence. Four years of resistance proved that neither threats nor military force could break the spirit of Ukrainians.

Ukraine has preserved its statehood, defended its sovereignty and showed the world an example of resilience and unity.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky addressed citizens, emphasizing the significance of the anniversary and the strength of the resistance: "Today is exactly four years since Putin took 'Kiev in three days.' And that says a lot about our resistance, about how Ukraine has been fighting all this time. Behind these words - millions of our people, great courage, hard work, endurance and a great path that Ukraine has been taking since February 24."

The head of state recalled the first days of the war and noted that Ukraine proved its strength: "Remembering the beginning of the invasion and looking at today, we have every right to say: we defended our independence, we did not lose statehood, Putin did not achieve his goals. He did not break Ukrainians, did not win this war."

The President of Ukraine emphasized that the country continues to fight for the future: "We have preserved Ukraine, and we will do everything to achieve peace and justice. Glory to Ukraine!"
