The special unit "Artan" of the Defense Ministry's GSD in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces regained control over important positions near Stepnogorsk. This creates prerequisites for further clearing of the settlement from the enemy.

"GUR special unit "Artan" realizes a complex operation in the Zaporizhzhya direction. The special forces of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR conducted a number of successful offensive operations and continue active combat work in the Stepnogorsk area of Zaporizhzhya region. During the operation in conditions of complicated logistics and constant attempts of the enemy to hold positions by the method of "meat assaults", the fighters of "Artan" in cooperation with other units of the Department of Active Actions of the Department of Active Actions of the GUR of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and the Defense Forces of Ukraine regained control over important positions and significantly improved the tactical situation on the specified section of the front", - stated in the report.

He added that the effectiveness of the offensive actions near Stepnogorsk is due to the high level of coherence of the components involved in the mission: assault groups are working with the support of UAV strike teams, artillery and other firepower. The goal of the operation remains to eliminate the threat of an enemy breakthrough to the outskirts of Zaporizhzhya.
