Asking for one of the charges against him to be dropped.

The deposed ruler of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro has demanded to stop the trial started against him in the United States. He cited the blocking of payments to his lawyer as the reason for the appeal.

According to Bloomberg.

According to the publication, Maduro asked a federal judge to drop drug trafficking charges against him. He claims the U.S. government is blocking the Venezuelan government from funding his legal defense.
