Zelensky: There Is A Window For Peace Before US Midterm Elections

Ukraine's president has declared a real chance.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky sees an opportunity for peace before the U.S. midterm elections in November.

The Ukrainian leader said this in an interview with Sky News.

Zelensky confirmed that he is ready to meet with the Russian dictator for negotiations and will do everything to achieve peace, but Ukraine will not give up its territories.

The Ukrainian president is convinced that the United States has enough strength to end the war.

"The United States is even stronger than they think of themselves. And I really think they are. And they are really putting pressure on Putin. They can stop this war," he said.

Zelensky called on the Trump administration to strengthen sanctions against Russian leadership families and provide Ukraine with more advanced weapons because that would force the Russian Federation to take negotiations seriously.

How close is peace?"

"Right now I think we have a chance. Between you and me, what I'm really thinking about next year ... it depends on these months, whether we have a chance to end the war before the fall. Before the election, an important, influential election in the United States. If it is possible to achieve peace, we will have (a chance), now we have this window," the head of Ukraine believes.

The midterm elections for the House of Representatives and the Senate will be held in November 2026.
