In Russia, on the afternoon of February 27, for the first time since the war in Ukraine began, "missile danger" was announced simultaneously in at least 13 regions, most of which are not border regions, writes The Moscow Times.
The authorities of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Saratov, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, Rostov and Kursk regions, as well as Perm Krai, warned of a possible missile attack. In at least eight of them, the missile threat was declared for the first time. In some regions, such as Almetyevsk, public transportation was suspended. In addition, evacuations were announced for students in Kazan and Izhevsk, as well as for employees of Kurumoch airport in Samara.
TASS, citing the government of Chuvashia, reports that one Ukrainian Flamingo missile was shot down in the skies above the republic, while another "changed course and flew outside the region." According to Shot, two Flamingos were shot down in Chuvashia.
On Friday, there were also massive restrictions on the reception and departure of airplanes at airports in Orenburg, Kazan, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Penza, Samara and other cities. The Russian Defense Ministry did not publish official information about the shelling of Russian regions with missiles by the AFU.
The drone danger was also announced in a number of subjects on Friday - in Belgorod, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as in Krasnodar Krai.
