This is a historic event for the history of the country.
The Israeli Air Force says it carried out its largest ever strike against Iran today, using about 200 fighter jets.
The military said the large-scale strikes targeted Iranian ballistic missile launchers and air defense systems, the Times of Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces says that during the sortie, fighter jets dropped hundreds of munitions on about 500 Iranian military targets in western and central Iran almost simultaneously in the morning.
"This is the largest strike sortie in the history of the Israel Air Force, carried out after careful planning with high-quality intelligence, synchronizing hundreds of aircraft at the same time," the military said in a statement.
The Israel Defense Forces said the strikes on Iran's air defense systems "have extended air superiority over Iranian skies and dealt a major blow to the regime's central offensive capability - the launch pads in western Iran."
One of the sites struck near Tabriz belonged to an Iranian ballistic missile unit "and from there they planned to launch dozens of rockets towards Israel," the Israel Defense Forces said.
It also released a video of the strike on an Iranian missile launcher.
