Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead and his body has been found. A senior Israeli official told the Reuters news agency. Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said there were growing signs that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was dead, but the politician did not directly confirm the ayatollah's death.

Netanyahu said Khamenei's residence had been destroyed. Israeli TV channel Channel 12 reported that 30 bombs were dropped on the compound.

The Israeli prime minister also appealed to Iranian citizens to speak out against the regime. "Do not miss the opportunity. This is a once-in-a-generation chance," Benjamin Netanyahu said, noting that "help has come."
