The Olympics will be held from February 6-22 in Italy.

Russian flags have been banned from all venues of the 2026 Olympics, TASS reports.

Modern and historical flags, as well as items that may be associated with countries whose athletes are allowed to participate in the Olympics in a neutral status, are banned.

The Olympics will be held from February 6-22 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

In March 2022, the International Olympic Committee recommended that international federations suspend Russian and Belarusian athletes. In December 2023, the organization recommended that Russian representatives be admitted to the 2024 Olympics in Paris in a neutral status. As a result, 15 Russian athletes went to France, they were forbidden to use the symbols of the Russian Federation, including the flag and anthem. On September 19, 2025, IOC head Christy Coventry announced that the organization would leave the same approach to the participation of Russians in the Olympics.
