The U.S. president called his phone conversation with the Chinese president excellent.

US President Donald Trump called his phone conversation with Chinese counterpart Si Jinping "great".

"It was a long and thorough conversation, with many important topics discussed, including trade, military issues, and the April trip I will be taking to China (which I am very much looking forward to!)," the Republican wrote in Truth Social.

Among the topics the politicians discussed, he named the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Taiwan, the situation with Iran, China's purchase of oil and gas from the United States and others.

"Relations with China and my personal relationship with President Xi Jinping are extremely good, and we both understand how important it is to maintain them," the White House chief stressed.
