Six Belarusian citizens were expelled by Georgia in 2025, according to "Pozirkam" analysis of data published by the country's police.

All those expelled are men. Three of them are between 26 and 40 years old, two are between 18 and 25, and one is between 41 and 65.

Four Belarusians were expelled in the third quarter, one each in the first and fourth quarters.

Together last year, the Georgian authorities (the country has been ruled since 2012 by the party of pro-Russian oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili) expelled 1,311 foreigners, including 73 Russian citizens. The share of Belarusians amounted to 0.46%.

Georgia became one of the main host countries for Belarusians fleeing persecution by the Lukashenko regime in 2020 and later. At the same time, the local authorities have not granted any of their asylum applications.

Belarusian citizens occasionally appear in Georgian police reports on the fight against criminal drug trafficking.
