NYT: The Days Of The Cuban Government Are Numbered.

The U.S. government has decided that Cuba should be free by the end of this year.
By the end of this year.
Cuba's communist government could fall in 2026 due to the actions of U.S. President Donald Trump's administration. About it writes The New York Times.
"Members of South Florida's Cuban immigrant community say Trump administration officials have assured them that the days of the Cuban government are numbered," the piece says.
According to Cuban immigrant leader Marcel Felipe, the U.S. government "has decided that Cuba must be free by the end of 2026." He said this after a meeting with U.S. diplomats, adding that the action plan "has already been put into action."
After new U.S. sanctions, Cuba has lost its sources of oil from Mexico, and the takeover of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro has cut Havana off from another source of energy resources, the NYT writes.
On January 29, Trump declared a state of emergency in the United States because of the national security threat posed by Cuba. In response, Cuban authorities also decided the next day to declare a state of emergency on the island, labeling it a measure "due to an extreme threat" from Washington.
