On Sunday afternoon, February 8, an earthquake with magnitude 3 occurred in Poltava region. This is the second earthquake in the region for the last three days.

It is reported by the website of the Main Center of Special Control.

"On February 8, 2026 the Main Center of Special Control registered an earthquake in Poltava region, Poltava oblast, Machukhov TG, with magnitude 3.0 (on the Richter scale), at a depth of 9 km", - stated in the message.

The classification of earthquakes it was classified as barely perceptible.

It should also be noted that on February 6 at 19:36 in Poltava region also recorded an earthquake. The epicenter was in Poltava TG at a depth of 9 km, and the magnitude was 3.1 on the Richter scale.
