Joint Statement.

France, Germany and Britain issued a joint statement condemning Iran's strikes on the Persian Gulf countries in response to the U.S. and Israeli attack and urged Tehran to seek a way out of the situation at the negotiating table.

According to "European Truth", the statement was released on February 28.

The countries noted that they have consistently called on the Iranian authorities to halt the nuclear program, limit ballistic missile development, refrain from destabilizing activities in the region and domestically, and stop repressing their own citizens.

"We did not participate in these strikes, but are in close contact with our international partners, including the United States, Israel and partners in the region. We reaffirm our commitment to regional stability and the need to protect civilians," the statement said.

"We condemn Iran's strikes on regional countries in the strongest possible terms. Iran must refrain from indiscriminate attacks. We call for the resumption of negotiations and urge Iran's leadership to seek a solution through diplomacy. Ultimately, the Iranian people must be allowed to determine their own future," Paris, Berlin and London added.
