The commander of the occupants with the call sign "Gaiduk" was destroyed near Slovyansk.
Another Russian occupier has been liquidated at the front - the commander of the Rodnya detachment Evgeny Nikolayev with the call sign "Gaiduk". He was an associate of propaganda writer Zakhar Prilepin and was engaged in attracting foreigners to the war against Ukraine.
Eugeniy Nikolaev was a Russian war criminal and a participant in the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the "Peacemaker" website said.
"Participant in the Russian military aggression against Ukraine from 24.02.2022. Involved in the genocide of Ukrainians by conducting combat operations against the civilian population, civilian objects and infrastructure," - stated on the site "Peacemaker".
In addition, Nikolaev is accused of illegally crossing the state border of Ukraine and participation in combat operations against the Ukrainian military as part of the Russian occupation troops. According to the information of "Mirotvorets", the occupier was the commander of the sabotage and reconnaissance detachment "Rodnya", which was part of the international brigade "Pyatnashka" - "Wild Division of Donbass".
According to the publicized data, Yevhen Nikolaev was liquidated on March 10 in the Slavyansk direction. "Gaiduk" was a member of the close circle of Zakhar Prilepin, a militant of the terrorist group "DNR". The report of Nikolayev's death is actively spread by Russian media.
"Today is a day of pain and sorrow for the Wild Division of Donbass. Our brother Nikolaev Yevgeny Viktorovich Gaiduk has died," said the so-called "international" brigade "Pyatnashka".
According to another propaganda resource, Nikolaev fought in the so-called "SVO" zone as a volunteer. His unit consisted of fighters of different nationalities - Russians, Tatars, Venezuelans, Colombians, Chinese and Spaniards.
In addition to participating in combat operations against Ukraine, Nikolaev was also engaged in literary activities. He maintained close ties with Zakhar Prilepin, who used him as a prototype for one of the characters in his novel Sankya. Prilepin signed a contract in January 2023 and also went to fight against Ukraine, and in May of the same year he was assassinated in an assassination attempt, after which he survived.
According to the occupiers, Nikolaev died near Slavyansk when he was performing the duties of a commander and led an enemy unit out from under attack by a Ukrainian FPV drone. Haiduk had previously been injured during the fighting, but survived then.
