Peskov Hints At Russia's Change Of Course In Ukraine Peace Talks

Putin's spokesman said that "Reality has changed."

The Istanbul agreements between Ukraine and the Russian aggressor country of 2022 are no longer relevant. Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitri Peskov told Russian propagandists TASS on March 11.

Peskov was asked about the Kremlin's commitment to the Istanbul agreements in talks to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"Reality has all changed," Putin's spokesman replied.

"The Agency" believes that such a statement by Peskov may indicate a change in Moscow's negotiating position on Ukraine, because earlier the Kremlin insisted that a peaceful settlement was possible only on the basis of the Istanbul agreements.

The journalists pointed out that the statement was also made against the background of the Israeli and US military operation against Iran, which could distract Washington from the issue of peace in Ukraine. A round of trilateral talks on ending the Russia-Ukraine war was supposed to be held last week, but the meeting was postponed at the request of the US side, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported.
