Ukraine Has Hit One Of The Largest Oil Transshipment Points In Southern Russia

New details of the attack on the oil depot in Tikhoretsk.
On the night of March 12, Ukrainian drones attacked the Tikhoretsky district of Krasnodar Krai. As a result of the raid, a fire broke out on the territory of a local oil depot, the region's operational headquarters said. "There are no casualties. The total area of the fire is 150 square meters. In extinguishing are involved 83 people and 26 units of equipment", - noted in the operative headquarters. According to an analysis of eyewitness photos by Astra, several fuel tanks caught fire at the base.
The burning oil depot is part of the Tikhoretsk oil hub, one of the largest oil transshipment points in southern Russia. It is operated by Tikhoretsk-Nafta LLC, which is part of Transneft. The oil depot is directly connected to the Tikhoretskaya linear production and dispatching station. In connection with the incident, local authorities imposed restrictions on vehicle traffic on the Tikhoretsk - Belaya Glina highway.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry's summary, last night on-duty air defense means "intercepted and destroyed" 80 Ukrainian drones of the aircraft type. Of these, 30 were over the Krasnodar region and 8 over the Black Sea. The drones were also spotted in the skies over Rostov, Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Kaluga, Voronezh regions and occupied Crimea.
Gazprom earlier said that on March 10 and 11 the Russkaya, Beregovaya and Kazachya compressor stations, which supply Turkish and Blue Stream, were attacked. All three stations are located in the Krasnodar Territory. The gas monopoly said the attacks were repelled.
On March 2, Ukrainian drones hit the Sheskharis oil terminal in the port of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar region. It is one of the largest oil and oil product transshipment complexes in southern Russia and is of strategic importance. It plays a key role in the operation of the Novorossiysk seaport and the entire export infrastructure in the south of the country. The AFU General Staff earlier said that the oil terminal was involved in supplying the groups of Russian armed forces fighting in Ukraine.
