Occupiers have to use corded phones.

Russian z-warrior Yuri Kotenok has spoken harshly about the state of the Russian army and the country's governance in an interview, accusing the leadership of corruption, unprofessionalism and systemic problems, writes "Dialog".

He said that after the shutdown of Starlink terminals and Telegram outages, communications among Russian units in the occupied territories have deteriorated markedly. As a result, Kotenok said, the military has to use outdated means of communication, including Soviet-style wire telephones dating back to the Great Patriotic War.

He said that on the front lines communication is sometimes ensured with the help of old TAP field telephones, when communicators manually lay cables from dugouts to command posts. At the same time, he said, some of the equipment is Chinese-made, and many modern Russian communications systems previously demonstrated at exercises have proven ineffective in real combat conditions.

Kotenok also questioned the leadership's responsibility for these problems, saying that despite the failures, no one has been punished.

In his opinion, the army's difficulties are not limited to communications. He believes that the war has revealed broader problems - Russia's technological and organizational backwardness. At the same time, the military correspondent accused the authorities of having corrupt and incompetent people in key positions.

In conclusion, he said that in order to change the situation, "proven and experienced people" should manage the country and the security forces, and also noted that Russia is virtually without allies, mentioning only North Korea.
