He could have flown into the country back in the fall.
In Poland, a drone was found on the territory of a lignite mine in Konin district, Wydarzenia.Interia reported, citing police.
The drone was found by a mine worker in the village of Galczyce. The nearby area has been cordoned off.
"No incidents posing a threat to human life or health have been detected," the security services said.
Poznan police spokesman Macey Swiercichowski, for his part, told Reuters that the drone found "does not look like a civilian drone, but there is no information about its model."
Polish news agency PAP, citing sources close to the country's Defense Ministry, writes that the drone found at the mine most likely entered Polish airspace as early as September 2025. At the same time, Polish Defense Ministry chief Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that Swedish Defense Minister Pal Johnson recently informed him of a drone that violated the kingdom's airspace.
On the night of September 10, 2025, the Polish military reported a violation of the country's airspace. Prime Minister Donald Tusk later said the drones, some 19 of them, had flown over Poland. Over time, they continued to be detected on Polish territory.
