White House Denies Reports Of Iranian Threat To California

A White House spokeswoman called the news "false."

The White House has categorically denied an ABC News report about possible Iranian attacks on California.

It said in a statement from Donald Trump administration spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt. She called the news "false" and urged the media to retract it, noting that it was based on unverified information.

California Governor Gavin Newsom reiterated that the state is prepared for any emergency and is coordinating with security agencies to monitor potential threats.

The press secretary emphasized that no Iranian threat to the U.S. currently exists or has ever existed:

"To be clear: no such Iranian threat to our homeland exists or has ever existed," Caroline Leavitt wrote on social media X.

She said the ABC News story is based on only one unverified tip and is not true.
