The expert named the year of the end of the war in Ukraine.

In 2026, the final and toughest fighting on the front line may take place. Therefore, it is important for Ukraine to withstand this period. This was stated by the commander of the 429th separate brigade of unmanned systems "Achilles" Yuri Fedorenko in the air of "Army Media".

"If we assess the financial and economic capabilities of the Russian Federation and in general the potential of their country. I could be wrong. But according to the available signs, it seems that 2026 will be the year of the final, toughest battles, which will unfold in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv regions," he emphasized.

He said that in the first half of 2027, the intensity of hostilities will begin to decrease and there may be prerequisites for the end of the war.

He added that it is important for Ukraine to withstand this period. And if it succeeds - the position of the Russian Federation may change in the negotiations.

"We have the potential to resist. And when we resist, then a peace agreement will be signed on the terms that will allow us to preserve our statehood and make the country prosperous. And in time, through political and diplomatic means, to return those territories that are ours by definition. Because Putin's dictatorial power is already faltering, and he is not immortal. We must remember that," Fedorenko summarized.
