Israel Defense Forces spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said the military campaign against Iran could last at least several weeks.

In comments to CNN, he noted that Israel has already prepared action plans for about three weeks - until the Jewish holiday of Passover. Further steps are also being considered for another similar period of time. According to Defrin, these plans are being developed in coordination with US allies.

The channel recalls that, according to the IDF, since the start of the campaign on February 28, the Israeli Air Force has conducted about 400 waves of strikes against targets in western and central Iran. The main emphasis is on destroying infrastructure and hitting defense facilities.

Israeli officials claim that the US and Israel have already struck thousands of targets during the conflict.

Defrin stressed that the Israeli army is not operating on a strict schedule, but is focused on achieving its objectives, among which is a significant weakening of the Iranian regime.
