Over The Past 30 Days, The AFU Has Recaptured More Territory Than Russia Has Seized

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that over the past 30 days the Ukrainian military has reclaimed more territory than Russia has seized.

He said this during an address to the UK Parliament on Tuesday, March 17.

"Kupyansk, our big city in Kharkiv region, is under our control...Over the past 30 days we have reclaimed more territory than Russia has seized," the head of state said.

In an interview with CNN published on March 15, Zelensky said that Russia was preparing a major offensive operation, but the Defense Forces prevented it by launching a counteroffensive.

"Russia prepared a major offensive operation, which they wanted to start at the end of last year and continue this spring. In response, we carried out our own counter-offensives to prevent a large-scale Russian offensive," he said.
