Explosions were heard in Dubai, as well as in the capitals of Qatar and Bahrain - Doha and Manama - on the morning of March 2, AFP reports. Authorities in the three countries have not yet commented on reports of new attacks by Iran.

The media is publishing photos and videos of thick smoke over what is said to be a US naval base in Bahrain. Al Arabiya reports that Bahrain's air defense systems have intercepted several missiles and UAVs over the capital.

Tasnim also claims smoke is rising over the US embassy in Kuwait.

There is no official confirmation yet about the aftermath of the attacks.
