Ex-coach Of The Belarusian National Hockey Team Was Deprived Of Latvian Residence Permit

He is now working for a Russian club.

Former coach of the Belarusian national hockey team Vladimir Krikunov told RIA Novosti that he was deprived of his residence permit in Latvia.

Krikunov works as a consultant in "Sochi", where he used to be the head coach.

"I was deprived (of my residence permit in Latvia), but this does not apply to hockey. I'm going back to Moscow, I'm stopping working at Sochi," Krikunov said.

The coach was born in Russia in 1956, played for a while in Riga and Minsk "Dinamo" during the Soviet era, coached Minsk "Dinamo" in 1985-1991, the national team of Belarus in 2001-2003 and 2014, Riga "Dinamo" in 2021-2022, worked for a while in Slovenia and coached its national team, but mainly works in Russia, coached the Russian national team in 2004-2006.
