Media: Another Russian Ka-52 Destroyed

  • 21.03.2026, 17:19

One of the crew members died.

The occupiers have lost another attack helicopter. According to Z-channels affiliated with the Russian Air Force, the helicopter in question is a Ka-52, reports UNIAN.

In particular, the Aviahub channel writes that one of the crew members was killed. However, there are no details of the incident.

A blogger Fighterbomber also writes about the loss of the attack helicopter. He does not specify what kind of combat vehicle the occupants lost.

"The morning is not good. We lost another vehicle. The reasons are still unclear," he said.

But he notes that Russian attack helicopters are vulnerable to being hit by Ukrainian FPV drones. According to him, the main problem with infantry REBs that could be installed on the Mi-28 and Ka-52 is the lack of electromagnetic compatibility with the helicopters' own radio-electronic systems. That is, REB can destroy the helicopter itself.

"I think that since yesterday the top brass has been seriously engaged in this problem," said the blogger, recalling yesterday's destruction of a Russian helicopter by a Ukrainian drone.

The channel "Voevoda broadcasts" claims that the system of evacuation of the crew from the destroyed helicopter allegedly worked properly. However, one crew member still did not survive.

The Defense Forces have not yet commented on the destruction of another Russian army helicopter.

What preceded

Yesterday the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and killed the crew while trying to evacuate.

The Russian helicopter was shot down by a fiber-optic FPV drone by pilots of the Baltika crew of the 1st Battalion "Predators of Heights" of the 59th Brigade of Unmanned Systems Forces near the village of Nadeyevka in Donetsk region.
