The issue should be resolved on Monday.
The head of the Lithuanian National Association of Linava Carriers (Association of Lithuanian Road Carriers) Erlandas Mikenas reported that they received information about the possible release of Lithuanian vans in Belarus as early as the middle of this week.
"Yes, we were informed by the Belarusian National Association of Carriers BAMAP (Belarusian Association of International Automobile Carriers) that Alexander Lukashenko will make a decision early next week. I think that the trucks will be released - this information has been circulating for some time, and we received it in the middle of the week," said Mikenas.
He also said that he expects a reduction in payment for parking on the Belarusian territory. Initially, the Interior Ministry of Belarus named the amount of 12 euros per day. However, the functionary did not specify what the payments might be.
Vice President of the Association of Lithuanian road carriers Linava Oleg Tarasov specified that his organization is still waiting for the final conditions, which will be put forward by the Belarusian side.
"The whole question was only in what terms they'll give them. So far there are no conditions, they are likely to be on Monday," said Tarasov.
