The AFU General Staff Confirmed The Defeat Of The Saratov Oil Refinery

On the night of March 21, Ukrainian defense forces hit the facilities of the Saratov oil refinery in the Saratov region of the aggressor country Russia. This was reported on Facebook by the AFU General Staff.

This refinery is one of the oldest oil refineries in Russia and, according to the military, provides oil refining and production of fuels and lubricants, which are used for the needs of the occupation army.

The volume of refining as of 2023 amounted to 4.8 million tons.

The AFU General Staff preliminarily informed that as a result of the Ukrainian attack on the territory of the refinery, a secondary oil refining unit and a vertical tank RVS-10000 were damaged. The exact damage is now being clarified.

The Saratov region was subjected to a drone attack, Governor Roman Busargin reported. According to the defense ministry of the aggressor country, Russian air defense allegedly intercepted and destroyed 283 drones in total during the night.
