Ukrainian Drone Pilots Destroyed Three Russian Tor-M2 SAMs In Five Days

Military experts explained what that tells us.

During 5 days of hostilities - from March 12 to March 16 - operators of the 413th Regiment of the Raid Unmanned Systems Force hit three Russian Tor-M2 SAMs. Two of them - in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region.

The Defense Express analyzed these episodes and noted that this rate of equipment losses is quite high for the Russian occupation forces. As of 2025, the Russian army had only 120 Tor systems of various modifications.

The author noted that in the first two cases of hitting enemy SAMs, the strikes were carried out by Fire Point drones. In addition, the released footage does not show any attempts of the enemy to change position or shoot down the Ukrainian drones.

"The above described shows, in particular, that the production and transfer of Fire Point kamikaze drones (types FP-1 and FP-2) to the troops has reached a fairly high rate. Therefore, such means can now be used not only to hit important objects in the rear of the occupation forces, but also against a wider list of important targets, such as, in particular, enemy air defenses," the material says.

With regard to the localization of the defeats of Russian complexes, the author suggests that the occupiers are now forced to reconfigure their air defense system in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The enemy is trying to accomplish two tasks at once - to cover important objects for themselves, while at the same time closing the paths of Ukrainian drones for strikes on objects on Russian territory.

"Well, and in the end - that, despite the claims spread in social networks, all the components of the SBS grouping, in particular the 413 regiment of SBS "Raid", are working not only on the front line of the enemy's defense to destroy manpower, but also to the full available depth from the line of contact," - summarizes the publication.
