The alliance urges allies not to hesitate and to speak with one voice.
NATO expects European allies to be fully united on the U.S. military campaign against Iran and to support efforts to prevent the nuclear threat.
The Alliance's Secretary General Mark Rutte said this, according to Politico.
According to the publication, in an interview with the Face the Nation program on CBS, Rutte noted the importance of consolidation around President Donald Trump's actions, despite the initial hesitation of some European nations.
He noted that an Iran with nuclear weapons would be a direct threat not only to Israel, but also to Europe and world stability.
"One thing I know is that we always unite," the Alliance chief emphasized.
He said the delay on the part of European partners was due to the fact that they were not involved in the initial planning to preserve the surprise effect of U.S. and Israeli attacks.
