17 Political Prisoners Released In December 2025 Received International Protection In Poland

17 political prisoners from the group of those released in December 2025 have received international protection in Poland, the head of the Office for Foreigners Tomasz Citrynowicz reported.
A total of 83 people from the group of 123 political prisoners, who were forcibly removed first to Ukraine, have decided to legalize in Poland. Citrynowicz said that efforts are being made to speed up the legalization of the rest of the released political prisoners, whose documents are now being considered.
Also during the meeting, agreements were reached on the priority treatment of three Belarusians, who were deported on March 19, 2026. It was reported that out of 15 people, forcibly removed to Lithuania, three decided to move to Poland.
