Israeli Media: Iran's New Supreme Leader Has Agreed To Talks With The US

Iran's Foreign Ministry passed the information on to Whitkoff.

Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei has agreed to hold talks with the United States.

It was reported by the Israeli publication Ynet.

The publication's sources said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi conveyed to U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff that the new supreme leader has approved the negotiation process.

"I am here after we received Mojtaba Khamenei's agreement and blessing to close this issue as soon as possible if our conditions are met," the publication quoted diplomatic sources as saying.
