Cole: Lukashenko Is The Only One Left At The Bad Guys' Table

It's a message to a dictator from the president of the United States.

US President Donald Trump's special envoy to Belarus John Cole made a appearance at the McCain Institute a week before his latest visit to Minsk.

He believes Lukashenko was very scared of U.S. actions in Venezuela and Iran.

"A week and a half ago, I said to him, 'Look, you're the only one left at the bad guys' table right now, so you better be careful.' And I really think what we've done in Venezuela and what we're doing in Iran has scared him terribly," Cole believes.

Reminder, on March 19, Lukashenko released 250 prisoners in exchange for further easing of U.S. sanctions. 235 people remained in Belarus, while the rest were sent to Lithuania.
