Lithuanian President: European Future Awaits Belarus

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has congratulated Belarusians on the Day of Will. In his congratulatory message, he noted that March 25 symbolizes Belarusians' relentless pursuit of freedom, independence and sovereignty and is of great importance for all who value human rights and democracy.

"As your neighbors, we closely observe your courageous struggle for these universal values. Your determination and resilience inspire many people and constantly remind the entire international community of the importance of peoples' solidarity and consistent support for those who seek their fundamental rights. The Day of Will is not only a day to remember your struggle for freedom at different stages of history and the sacrifices of those who fought for the freedom of the people. It is also a day to reflect on the future - on the European future of Belarus, in which all Belarusians will enjoy all the freedoms and opportunities they deserve," Nauseda said in his message of congratulations.

The Lithuanian President emphasized that his country's support for democratic Belarus, its independence and sovereignty remains unwavering.

"I wish you to remain strong and united in the face of all the challenges you face every day. Continue to fight for the freedom of your country and do not allow your state to be used in Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. Let this Day of Will be a beacon of hope, lighting the way to a better future for Belarus - one in which democracy, justice and human rights triumph. May this day bring you closer to the realization of your aspiration for a free, independent, prosperous and European Belarus. Zhyve Belarus!" - congratulated Gitanas Nauseda.
