The bill provides for three key steps.
The Iranian regime may resort to the "last argument" as it fights in the region and weakens its position, writes cursorinfo.co.il.
A bill to withdraw the country from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has been submitted to Iran's parliament. If the initiative is passed, it could be a major turnaround in Tehran's nuclear policy and dramatically change the balance of power in the region. This information was confirmed by Majlis MP Malek Shariati Niyasar.
The bill envisions three key steps:
Officially ending Iran's participation in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Removal of the national law enshrining the country's obligations under the nuclear deal.
Forming a new agreement with allies to ensure the free development of nuclear technology.
"Not only has the NPT Treaty failed to protect our country from the threat of nuclear powers, but our nuclear facilities have been repeatedly attacked and the international documents and agreements themselves have actually been completely ignored," emphasized National Security Commission Speaker Ibrahim Rezaei.
