Moscow Howled Over Arms Shipments To Ukraine From Asia

Another country's aid has caused Russian Federation to throw a tantrum.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said that Moscow may resort to retaliatory measures if South Korea takes part in the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine.

This is reported by Yonhap.

The Russian side admits introducing retaliatory steps in case Seoul changes its stance on military aid to Kiev.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said this in an interview with Russian propagandists.

He said Moscow has already repeatedly conveyed its position to the South Korean side through various channels.

Russia's position on arms supplies

Rudenko emphasized that Russia considers South Korea's participation in arms supplies to Ukraine, including within the framework of international initiatives, unacceptable.

"We have consistently conveyed to the South Korean side through various channels Russia's principled position on the inadmissibility of South Korea's participation in direct or indirect supplies of lethal weapons to the Kiev regime, in particular within the framework of the PURL initiative," he said.

The threat of deterioration of relations

The Russian diplomat also warned of possible consequences for bilateral relations.

He said that if such steps are implemented, cooperation between the countries may significantly deteriorate.

"Otherwise, bilateral relations between Russia and South Korea may be seriously affected, and we will be forced to take retaliatory measures. I hope it will not come to that," Rudenko said.

This is not the first time similar warnings have been sounded. About a month ago, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry already announced possible retaliatory actions if Seoul joins the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) format.
