After a massive drone attack, a fire broke out for the third time in a week.
On the night of March 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad Region for the third time in the last week. There is a new fire at the port, where a fire from previous arrivals has still not been extinguished, writes OBOZ.UA.
The attack was confirmed by the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko. And Telegram channel Supernova+ claims that another tank at Novatek's terminal at the port caught fire.
What is known
The new attack on the port of Ust-Luga was successful, Drozdenko said at 03:42 a.m. He initially wrote about "damage" on the port's territory, but later corrected the message, saying the fire had been "eliminated."
By 06:33, according to the Leningrad Region governor's report, Russian air defense forces were "hitting" nearly 60 drones, and "localization of the fire" was also ongoing.
The Russian official did not specify what exactly was burning in the port of Ust-Luga. But Supernova+ claims that "another tank at the Novatek terminal" has burst into flames after the new strikes.
Supernova+ also publishes footage of what is likely to be a new attack on the port.
The network is also circulating footage from the Leningrad region, which shows a sky covered in black smoke. However, it remains unclear whether this smoke is a consequence of previous strikes (as of March 28, the fire had been extinguished for four days) or a result of the night attack on the port.
