On Sunday, March 29, the industrial area of the Togliattiazot chemical plant in Russia's Samara region was attacked. This was evidenced by an atypical fire at the production facility, writes OBOZ.UA.

At the same time, Russian authorities confirmed the attack. This is reported by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

In the area of enterprises there were explosions, followed by a fire with an unusual signature - similar cases have previously been associated with drone attacks on industrial facilities.

The governor of the Samara region said that the region was attacked by drones this morning.

"This morning the AFU attacked an industrial enterprise in Togliatti with UAVs. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Operational services are working," he said.

Governor Andrey Fedorishchev also urged local residents not to take or distribute photos and videos from the scene, and to contact emergency services if drone debris is found.

In total, there have been at least 14 attacks on chemical industry facilities in Russia in just over a month. The strikes targeted enterprises related to the production of fertilizers and components that can be used in the military sphere.

In addition, a number of military facilities of Russian troops in the occupied territories of Ukraine were hit.
