Russian Oil Tanker Heading Toward Cuba: Trump Reacts

The U.S. president continues to claim that Cuba is finished.

U.S. publication The New York Times reported that the U.S. Coast Guard may allow a Russian tanker to deliver oil to Cuba. US President Donald Trump commented on the information, saying he sees nothing wrong with it.

"We have a tanker there. If some country wants to send oil to Cuba, I have no problem with that. Whether it's Russia or not," Trump said when asked about the credibility of the publication.

And he was asked if that helps Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Trump rejected such a suggestion: "He's losing one load of oil. That's it. If somebody wants to do that, it doesn't bother me. It's not going to have an impact. Cuba is finished - there's a bad regime and corrupt leadership there. Whether they get the oil or not is irrelevant."
