The AFU Has Already Liberated 480 Square Kilometers On The Alexandrovsky Direction

RF's plans have been thwarted.

The Ukrainian military has seized the initiative in the Oleksandrivka direction, where as a result of offensive operation they have already liberated 480 square kilometers of territory.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexandr Syrsky, said this in an interview with the ICTV TV channel.

He noted that from March 1, 2026, the Russians planned to launch a large-scale offensive actually in all 13 main directions, but before that the enemy was forced to change plans, to transfer some of the forces and means from Pokrovsky and Ocheretinsky direction to Alexandrovsky.

"The success lies in the liberation of the territory. As of today it is 480 square kilometers. This exceeds the results we had during the Dobropolsk counter-offensive operation. If you remember, we liberated more than 430 square kilometers of territory there during the operation," Syrsky said.

The AFU commander-in-chief explained that the Russian command's plans for 2025 were thwarted, so the occupiers were unable to fulfill them.
