Hundreds of Belarusians entered the country through her.

A 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen was detained in Lodz on March 25. According to investigators, she could participate in a scheme where foreigners were helped to obtain documents to obtain Polish visas, actually bypassing legal procedures, the Polish Border Guard Service reported.

Investigators found that at the end of 2022, a company was registered in Lodz, which on paper was engaged in various activities - from cleaning and construction to trade and tailoring. However, according to law enforcers, it did not conduct any real economic activity and was used only to prepare documents for foreigners.

Through this company, about 500 applications were submitted with the intention to employ foreigners. For each of them, according to the investigation, they charged up to 400 euros. These documents were then used to apply for visas to Polish consulates in Belarus.

According to the Border Guard Service, about 230 citizens of Belarus have already been identified as having received visas under this scheme. At the same time, people realized that they wouldn't really work on these documents - the goal was to obtain the right to enter Poland.

The detained Ukrainian, according to the investigation, could act not alone, but as part of a group. Her role, presumably, was that she provided her data for the registration of the company and access to electronic systems of registration of documents.

The woman is charged with organizing illegal border crossing and forgery of documents, she faces up to eight years in prison. She is now under police supervision and cannot leave the country. The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are looking for other participants in the scheme.
