The First Video Of Iran's Attack On Azerbaijan Has Surfaced

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry responded.

Iran on Thursday, March 5, attacked Azerbaijan. The drone hit Nakhchivan International Airport.

The press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports that a drone launched from Iran hit the airport building and exploded. A fire broke out on the spot. Eyewitnesses captured the moment of the attack on video.

The Foreign Ministry said another Iranian drone fell near a school building in the village of Shekarabad.

"We strongly condemn these drone attacks carried out from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a result of which the airport building was damaged and two civilians were wounded," the agency said.

It noted that the attack on the territory of Azerbaijan contradicts the norms and principles of international law and serves to increase tension in the region.

"We demand that the Islamic Republic of Iran clarify the above-mentioned issue in a short time, provide explanations and take necessary and urgent measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future," the Foreign Ministry added.

It also noted that the Azerbaijani side reserves the right to take appropriate measures in response.

The Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan has already been summoned to the Foreign Ministry. The Iranian side will be strongly protested and handed a corresponding note of protest.
