Increased attacks could bring the collapse of the ruling system in Iran closer.

The Israeli operation against Iran is entering a new, more intense phase. As Israeli military observer Avi Ashkenazi writes, on the seventh day of fighting, the Israel Defense Forces are increasing pressure on both Iranian military infrastructure and forces allied to Tehran in the region.

It says "Maariv".

The Israeli Air Force has already used more than 5,500 munitions on various targets during the campaign, he said. The strikes hit government buildings, headquarters, military bases, as well as ballistic and anti-aircraft missile launching systems.

According to intelligence estimates, Iranian casualties exceed three thousand people. Among the dead, as Ashkenazi notes, are ordinary soldiers, commanders, representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and other security structures.

The main task of the current stage of the operation in Israel is called increasing pressure on the Iranian control system. According to the author, the IDF expects that intensive strikes could force military and commanders to leave headquarters and military facilities. Such a scenario is seen as a possible signal of serious problems within the army and government.

Avi Ashkenazi writes that the Israeli command hopes: intensified attacks may bring the collapse of the ruling system in Iran closer.

The situation on the Lebanese side is escalating in parallel. According to the author's information, the Israel Defense Forces are expanding combat operations against Hizbullah. On the eve of the Israeli military distributed new notices of evacuation of settlements in the second zone of hostilities. Among them was the town of Bint Jabal, which is considered one of the organization's key strongholds.

The IDF has already entered there as part of Operation Arrow of the North, and, as Ashkenazi notes, it is possible that Israeli forces could become active there again.

In the meantime, Israeli aircraft continue to strike Hizbullah groups attempting to attack Israeli positions. Despite this, however, the movement continues to fire rockets and drones into Israeli territory. Although the scale of the attacks is smaller than during major operations, Israel considers such activity unacceptable.

Ashkenazi estimates that Israel may soon activate maneuver divisions. Their task could be to clear areas of launchers and units of the elite Radwan forces.

At the same time, the journalist writes, pressure on Hizbullah is increasing inside Lebanon. The Lebanese government and part of the Shiite community are expressing discontent because of the new evacuations and destruction. As a result, it is estimated in Israel that the organization may be looking for a way to end the escalation.
