Marat Kabaev, the father of Vladimir Putin's girlfriend Alina Kabaeva, has become the owner of a 25 percent stake in Taimyr Invest, a large logistics company working on Rosneft's projects in the Far North. The deal took place on March 4: the stake was acquired from the company's main participant Elvira Khazieva, TASS writes. The nominal value of the stake amounted to 250 thousand rubles. The International Association of Islamic Business Kabaeva said that he intends to participate in the development of the company as a strategic partner and form a socially oriented business model.
Taimyr Invest, judging by the vacancies, is involved in Rosneft's huge project in Taimyr - Vostok Oil. Investment in the development of this field was estimated by the government at nearly 12 trillion rubles. "The largest oil and gas project in the world - 6.5 billion tons in oil and about 10 trillion cubic meters of gas," noted Rosneft head Igor Sechin.
Taimyr Invest is engaged in cargo delivery warehousing and handling operations at berths and port warehouses. According to the company, more than 1.6 million tons of cargo have already passed through its logistics infrastructure. The company's financial indicators show rapid growth. By the end of 2024, Taimyr Invest's revenue amounted to about 55.3 billion rubles against 13.2 billion rubles a year earlier, and net profit reached 1.6 billion rubles. The company's assets increased by 400%.
Kabaev heads the International Association of Islamic Business and the board of directors of the MAIB private equity fund. The publication Project reported that Kabaev is a member of Vladimir Putin's inner circle, and Kabaev's partners were involved in projects related to the Donbass coal industry and in attempts to hostile takeover of Russian assets of the Swiss cement holding Holcim.
