Famous U.S. B-1 Bombers Fly To Attack Iran

They could drop the Mother of All Bombs.

A UK air force base is expecting B-1 bombers capable of carrying 34 tons of bombs, while the US is promising an "increase" in attacks on Iran. Meanwhile, experts believe Trump wants to use the devastating 10-ton MOAB bomb.

Internet aviation enthusiasts have spotted a group of B-1 jets heading from Dyess Air Base in Texas to Fairford Air Base in Gloucestershire, where they are expected to be joined by other stealth bombers including B-2s and B-52s, writes Daily Mail.

The strategic bombers, which cost up to $2 billion each, can perform long-range missions while remaining undetected, while carrying the world's most destructive missiles.

Sources suggest Saturday, March 7, could be a crucial day for a new giant bombing campaign - exactly one week after America and Israel first attacked Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury.

This week, US President Donald Trump warned Iran that a "big wave" was coming, adding, "We haven't even started hitting them hard yet. The big wave hasn't even started yet."

And U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on the evening of March 5 that the United States would now use British Royal Air Force bases to "dramatically" increase strikes on Iran after Britain's prime minister allowed the Americans to strike from their bases.

"When we talk about future plans, it means more fighter squadrons, more capabilities, more defensive capabilities and more frequent bombing sorties," Hegseth said.

After a delay in which Trump lashed out at British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, saying he was "useless" and "not Winston Churchill," Britain is now allowing the U.S. to use British bases for "defensive" strikes against missile sites in Iran.

Experts believe America could drop the "Mother of All Bombs," or the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) bomb, a 10-ton explosive device capable of forming a crater 300 meters deep when detonated, on Iran.

The Mother of All Bombs has not yet been used in Iran, but was used in Afghanistan in 2017.

In June 2025, U.S. B-2 bombers dropped devastating GBU-57 bombs on Iranian uranium enrichment facilities.

The MOAB bomb causes destruction on the surface over a wide area, while the GBU-57 bomb penetrates deep into the ground before exploding.

Military experts said the "major strike" that Trump has warned Iran about would use America's most destructive arsenal and appears imminent.

Ian Ballantyne, editor of Warships International Fleet Review, said, "The most obvious thing President Trump could mean by this is 'the biggest bomb' is some kind of MOAB, or 'Mother of All Bombs.

He added that these horrific air attacks would be coordinated with the US Navy, which would engage not only the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford, but also the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, using Tomahawk missiles from its destroyers and air groups, as well as possibly bombing from submarines.

Reminder, Donald Trump has already said there will be no deal with Iran unless there is ("unconditional surrender" https://charter97.org/ru/news/2026/3/7/676034/).
