Trump Angry Over Question About Russian Federation Helping Iran With Intelligence

The U.S. president called the question "silly."
U.S. President Donald Trump refused to comment on information that Russia may be passing intelligence to Iran for strikes on U.S. military facilities.
The incident occurred during a White House roundtable discussion on college sports. At the end of the event, Trump agreed to answer a few questions from reporters and gave Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy the floor.
The reporter began asking questions about media reports, particularly by The Washington Post and Fox News, that suggested Russia may have passed intelligence to Iran for attacks on U.S. positions in the Middle East. However, the president interrupted him without listening to the end.
Trump joked that such a topic was a "lightweight issue" compared to the discussion of college sports that took place during the event. He later sharply criticized the reporter's question:
"I have a lot of respect for you. You've always been very kind to me. But what a stupid question you asked now. We're talking about something else."
A few minutes later, the president turned to Doocy again and offered to ask another question, but when the reporter clarified whether he could touch on a topic outside of college sports, Trump said no.
What preceded
The Washington Post previously reported that Russia was passing information to Iran about targets for strikes against U.S. troops in the Middle East.
At the same time, Pentagon chief Pete Hagseth said he was not concerned about the possible transfer of such intelligence.
The White House commented on the report. Answering a reporter's question whether President Trump discussed the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, press secretary Caroline Leavitt said that such topics should be commented on by the head of state himself.
