On the night of March 7, the IDF Air Force, assisted by military intelligence, completed a wave of strikes throughout Tehran and against military infrastructure at Mehrabad Airport, the Israeli army's press office reported.
Mehrabad Airport was used by the Quds Force unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and was a central hub for arming and funding terrorist proxy groups in the Middle East. Planes laden with weapons and cash flew out of this airport and landed at various points in the region, supplying goods to allies of the Iranian regime.
In a pinpoint attack carried out this night, 16 aircraft of the Quds Force unit were destroyed.
In addition, several Iranian fighter jets were attacked, posing a threat to Air Force planes operating in the skies over Iran.
