On the same day, an arson attack occurred at the Fasters Oil gas station on Zheleznodorozhnaya Street in the Metallostroy settlement in St. Petersburg's Kolpino district. The Rosguard detained a young man suspected of committing the crime and handed him over to the police. The regional Rosgvardia department said that the arsonist, who tried to escape, is only 14 years old. "The young man, while at the self-service gas station, poured flammable liquid on one of the columns and set it on fire, after which the flames spread throughout the gas station," the department said in a release. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire report was received at 15:27. The flames completely engulfed the gas station measuring three by seven meters. The fire was extinguished at 15:49. Preliminarily, no one was injured.
