The AFU De-occupied 400-435 Square Kilometers In Southern Ukraine In A Month And A Half

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that over the past month and a half the Defense Forces have liberated 400-435 square kilometers in the south of Ukraine.

"In the south of our state over the past month and a half (the Armed Forces - ed.) have conducted a number of important actions on defense and in some directions on the offensive. Exclusively the actions were to thwart the plans of the Russian Federation. We believe that they are quite successful - we have regained control over somewhere around 400-435 kilometers (square - ed.)," Zelensky said during a joint briefing with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Yetten in Kiev, "Ukrinform".

"But I will say this, very cautiously, everyone is more positive than it was at the end of 2025," he added, pointing out that the actions of Ukrainian soldiers thwarted the enemy's plans in this direction.

"The main goals are the east of our state, the capture of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. In principle, their plans have not changed, there is a postponement due to the fact that they are not able to do it with the means and forces that they have today and because of the actions, respectively, of our armed forces," Zelensky also said.
