But it won't be completed in one or two days.
The United States "sees the finish line" in the end of hostilities in the Middle East, although it will not happen today, and not tomorrow.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this, according to Sky News.
"Washington sees the finish line in the war with Iran. It's not today, it's not tomorrow, but it (the end of hostilities - ed.) will come," Rubio said.
He also said that there is an exchange of messages between Iran and the US, and that there is the potential for a "direct meeting at some point" between the two sides.
He said Washington would also have to rethink its relationship with NATO after a war with Iran.
"At the end of the day, it's up to the president (Donald Trump - ed.) to make that decision. But I think we're going to have to reassess whether NATO, which has served well for some time, still serves that purpose, or whether it has now become a one-way street," Rubio added.
