The Russian dictator said that Armenia will not be able to be a member of both the EAEU and the EU.

Russia is calm about Armenia's aspiration to develop relations with the European Union, but Yerevan cannot be in a customs union with the EU and the EAEU at the same time, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"We understand that any country is looking for maximum benefits from cooperation with third countries. But it should be obvious, it should be honestly, in advance, as they call it, said on the shore: it is impossible to be in a customs union with the European Union and the EAEU," the Russian dictator said (quoted by TASS).

According to him, this is "a purely economic issue."
